NCSI Participant Wish List

Allowable Expenses:

The purpose of wish list items is to procure things that would enable participants to be successful incorporating computational science tools and techniques into their undergraduate classes. These things can be (but are not limited to):

  • Software
  • Books
  • Things for associated physical models or demo's

Reimbursement Limit:

The amount we have available for wish list items for participants depends upon participant costs for the workshops this summer. Plan on a minimum of $250. Schools with multiple participants are encouraged to consider combining requests.

Steps for Reimbursement:

  1. Try to get the money matched through your institution;
  2. Fill out the on-line reimbursement form. We will respond to your form if we can find you a better deal.
  3. Print a copy of the submitted form and attach your receipt or signed copy of your receipt to:

    National Computational Science Institute
    c/o The Shodor Education Foundation
    923 Broad Street, Suite 100
    Durham, NC 27705

    The on-line form should explain how the purchase/expense will benefit you in carrying out the ends of NCSI, what funds you were able to have matched (not a requirement, but we want to stretch the money) and indicate clearly to whom the money should be paid.
